About Us
Washington State Maternal Mortality Review reported, "80% of pregnancy-related deaths were preventable in 2017-2020".
Puget Sound Community Wellness Workshops is a charity based organization fiscally sponsored by Omprakash. The leading cause of those deaths were behavioral health related (lack of social support) and quality health care. Our programs provide a safe, reaffirming, and restorative space where Black, Indigenous, and all moms receive access to social and health resources to address their mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. By combining access to healthcare services, nutritious fresh food, and mental health support, we are able to give mothers the opportunity to, holistically, empower themselves and each other in a space where they otherwise may not be able to prioritize these elements of care.
